SIMON
GALL - SCHOOL PRINCIPAL
Simon Gall, a holistic therapist
working in London and the South East, is the the founder
and Principal of The London School of Traditional Massage
(LSTM). He has over 15 years of education and experience
in Holistic Health & Fitness. His holistic approach
combines massage, exercise prescription, and nutrition,
for the benefit of individual and corporate clients
at his practice in Kent, and on site throughout London
and the South East. Simon has trained as a yoga teacher,
is a qualified Pilates instructor, Nutritional Therapist,
and Sports Massage Therapist.
Simon began his training in Traditional
Massage at the Institute of Thai Massage (ITM) in Chiang
Mai Northern Thailand, and soon returned to continue
his training to advanced practitioner, and instructor
level with the previous head teacher at the Old Medicine
Hospital in Chiang Mai. He has since trained to advanced
practitioner level at Wat Po, an impressive Buddhist
Temple in Bangkok, and the home of Thai Massage in Southern
Thailand. He returns regularly to Thailand to continue
his studies. |

He initially founded the London School of
Thai Massage, to promote Thai Massage in the UK, and has now
expanded the curriculum, with the help of other tutors who
are experts in their fields, to offer training in traditional
massage techniques from around the world.
Simon teaches courses in Thai Massage,
Thai Foot Massage, Chavutti Thirumal and On-Site Seated Acupressure
Massage. Simon is a qualified teacher of adults, and a
member of the Association of Therapy Lecturers (ATL). He is
also an active member of the Federation of Holistic Therapists
(FHT) where he is a part of their National CPD Seminar Programme.
PAULA
LLOYD - VICE PRINCIPAL & REFLEXOLOGY
Paula Lloyd is a well qualified,
practising Aromatherapist and Reflexologist, with a
strong interest in Nutrition and Ayurvedic Medicine.
Paula has taught the practical elements
of reflexology training for the last 7 years with ARC
reflexology who have now combined with The London School
of Traditional Massage (LSTM).
In 2002 she opened The
Therapy Centre in Shortlands, which provides consulting rooms and
therapies in a wide range of disciplines and space for
classes, workshops and training in many areas of health
and healing. |

HEATHER
GILLETT - REFLEXOLOGY
Heather Gillett (tutor) Heather joined
the school as a main course tutor in September 2003.
Students benefit from her experience
as a practitioner of Reflexology and other therapies
and her teaching experience for a Harley Street School.
Heather is a verifier for the AOR and
membership secretary for Association of Reflexologists |

PHILIP - ANATOMY & PHYSIOLOGY, REFLEXOLOGY, SWEDISH
BODY MASSAGE & REIKI
James graduated in Management Studies
from the University of Stirling in 1984, developing
a succesful career in Personnel Management & Training
in the NHS and Computer Industry, before re-training
as a Complementary Therapist and Teacher.
He has over 10
years practitioner experience in a range of therapies
including Reflexology , Swedish Massage, Thai Massage,
Reiki and Spiritual Healing. Also with a keen interest
in Flower Essences, Dowsing and Psychic Intuition.
Courses taught at London School of Traditional
Massage include Swedish Massage, Reflexology, Reiki,
& Anatomy & Physiology.
He is also a healing workshop leader
both in the UK and USA. |

ANDY
GALL - SPORTS MASSAGE
Andy is a qualified teacher of Physical
Education and Science with a BA (Ed) Hons. from Exeter
University. He has twelve years teaching experience
and spent six years working at the internationally renowned
sporting school of Millfield in Somerset. While at Millfield
teaching PE, science and games he also worked alongside
the school's physiotherapist designing recovery programmes
for the elite performers.
He has taught Anatomy and Physiology
and Exercise Physiology to A-level students for seven
years. Andy has over two years of soft tissue therapy
experience and is currently a third year student at
the College of Osteopaths accredited by the Middlesex
University.
Andy also runs his own sports injuries
clinic in Radlett, Hertfordshire and has developed close
links with local sports clubs, associations and athletes.
The Sports Massage Course is taught in a fun and relaxed
atmosphere with up-to-date teaching methods. Sessions
are predominantly practically based with some theory. |

MARIANNE BAYES - SPORTS MASSAGE
Marianne Bayes trained at the London School of Sports Massage and is a full time therapist working for over 5 years in a private physiotherapy clinic in London. She is squad masseuse to the GB Disabled swim team and travels the world with them to International competitions, she has lots of experience in working with athletes with disabilities and being involved with the British Paralympic Association. She is a senior lecturer at the London School of Sports Massage and we are excited that she is running our Sports Massage Diploma at the LSTM.
She is a keen triathlete but admits to spending more time on the bike than the road as the knees have taken their toll over the years ! |

MARK
CORCORAN - TUINA
Mark is a fully qualified Chinese Medical
Practitioner (acupuncture, herbs and Tuina) in China
and England, with over 6 years experience and a thriving
clinic in Peterborough.
Mark has travelled to China on many
occasions to work on a voluntary basis at the Hang Zhou
Traditional Chinese Medical (TCM) Hospital which is
one of the top 7 rated hospitals in China for TCM training.
Dr Qiang, the head of the Tuina department is one of
the most respected doctors in his field in China, especially
in the prolapsed disc arena. Each year he is very pleased
to see them, to see how much they have improved and
to hear they are using his techniques in their clinic
with much success and he goes on to show some more of
his best techniques.
Mark's background in instructing martial
arts, Tai Chi, and Qi Gong give them a very approachable
air and classes are run informally and with a sense
of humour. |

MARNEY
LAWSON - INDIAN HEAD MASSAGE
After qualifying in Anatomy & Physiology
& Massage in 1998, Marney opened a complementary
Therapy Centre in SE London which she ran for 4 years.
Marney trained in Indian Head Massage
in 1999 and started teaching it a year later. Marney
trained in Thai Foot Massage in 2004 and joined the
LSTM team in 2005, having worked at our Therapy Centre
for 3 years.
Marney is also a baby massage teacher
and runs a successful mobile practice and busy clinic
at The Therapy Centre. |
